It’s no secret that here at Caballeros Vacations we absolutely LOVE the Swan Reserve, Swan, and Dolphin resorts by Marriott. They offer a tremendous amount of booking flexibility, allowing you to book them via Marriott Bonvoy points, free night certificates, travel portals like American Express, Chase & CapitalOne; and of course – actual money. Better yet, anyway you book it, you get all the perks of staying at a Deluxe Disney Resort:
- 30 minutes early entry to parks
- extended evening hours
- dining reservations can be made for your entire stay, 60 days out from the start of your trip. This doesn’t always work – and we’ll discuss the fix further on.
However because of the wide array of booking options here, there are 2 general issues that can arise:
My Marriott Confirmation Code For Swan, Swan Reserve or Dolphin Isn’t Recognized By Disney
Firstly, To take advantage of early booking for your Individual Lightning Lane purchase, and/or your first Genie+ Lightning Lane selection, you will need to have your hotel booking linked to Disney’s My Disney Experience app. However the confirmation code you get immediately after booking doesn’t always work. And unless you booked this property as a package, it won’t automatically link to your account. The fix to this is actually rather simple – wait 24-48 hours.
The confirmation code you get right after booking isn’t immediately sent over to Disney’s systems, and as such it won’t work immediately after booking. However 24-48 hours later the same confirmation code will work!
How To Link Your Marriott Reservation At Swan, Swan Reserve, or Dolphin to Your Disney Experience Account
Linking your hotel reservation to My Disney Experience is extremely easy! First, make sure you have waited 24-48 hours after making your Marriott booking, to avoid Disney not recognizing the confirmation number. Then simply follow the screenshots below!
The Dining Reservations Problem
Lastly, we have to address the common issue of dining reservations. All guests staying on-property get access to dining reservations for their stay, 60 days out from the start of the trip. To access these, you’ll need to make sure your hotel booking is linked to your account in My Disney Experience. Follow the steps described above.
However most of the time, even when linked correctly, you won’t see availability for your entire week. Only 1 day. Unfortunately the only way to resolve this is to call in to Guest Services as they can bypass this issue on your behalf and schedule your upcoming week of dining reservations over the phone! You can contact Disney’s Guest Services team at 1-407-939-5277.
