With the current state of construction and roads, most transfer companies are going to ask you pick you up for your return to the airport 3-4 hours before your boarding time. If you get lucky and there is no traffic or construction on your route – this means you might end up at the airport with several hours to kill before your flight boards. Luckily, there is plenty of shopping to do here. But what if you just want to get some food, have a drink, and relax? Consider checking out the MERA Business Lounge by Plaza Premium Lounge!
How To Access The MERA Business Lounge’s

Access here is $33/pp, unless you have a Platinum American Express (personal or business) as these include access to all Plaza Premium Lounge’s.
Guests staying at Atelier in select Inspira room categories also get access to these lounges!
You can easily make advance reservations at any of the MERA Business Lounge’s located at CUN if you do not qualify for any of the included passes above. Since there is a lounge located in Terminals 2,3 and 4 – we’ve included direct links where you can purchase lounge access below. Unfortunately these lounges do not participate in Smarttraveler by Plaza Premium Lounge or you would get 20% off the current rate.
Is It Worth It?
Yes. If you are planning to get a full meal here, some snacks, water for your upcoming flight, and that much needed pre-vacation-ending alcoholic beverage – the $33 ends up being a great deal. You can easily spend much more, per person, eating and drinking at any of the restaurants in the airport. You can also save $1 for every 2 passes by buying the Ameripass from Plaza Premium online – as this comes in at $65 for 2 visits, versus $66 when buying them individually.
If you aren’t going to make full use of all the amenities here – then you need to decide if $33 is worth the more comfortable seats while you wait for your flight to start boarding.
About The Lounge
The lounge offers ample seating, included private cabins where you can isolate yourself and get some work done. There is plenty of charging ports and outlets located anywhere you might sit.

The buffet is small, but restocked often with fresh and good tasting food. During our last October 2022 visit we had a selection of sandwiches, paella, pulled brisket, sliders, a salad bar, and desserts! There is a beverage cooler with beer, juices, soda, and water; and ofcourse there is a fully stocked bar – perfect when you need a mimosa at 10am to forget that your vacation is over and you have to go back to the real world.

For those who need some rest, there are sleeping pods you can reserve at the lounge. Along with private shower units also.
