We recently completed two stays at Marriott’s newly opened Swan Reserve, experiencing their Junior Suite and their Signature Suite rooms – almost back to back. So we thought it would be the perfect chance to write up a post detailing our experiences, showing the two rooms, and explaining why we love the new Swan Reserve so much!
A Bit About The Resort
First off, a bit about Marriott’s Swan Reserve, which opened it’s doors to the public in November 2021, making it the newest addition to the luxury hotel scene in Orlando. This resort offers guests the ultimate in convenience and luxury while also holding one of the best locations on Disney World property! The walk from Swan Reserve to Hollywood Studios is about 1 mile, and the walk to Epcot is roughly the same! Plus – this resort counts as a Disney Deluxe resort, which means it qualifies for perks like early park entry & extended evening hours! All you have to do is make sure you’ve properly linked your Marriott booking with your My Disney Experience app. We have a full guide on how to do that here.

The Swan Reserve offers a range of accommodations, from deluxe guest rooms to spacious suites. All of the rooms are outfitted with modern amenities, including flat-screen televisions, LED touchscreen displays for climate control, high-speed internet access, and premium bedding. The room decor is sophisticated and stylish, with warm colors and plush furnishings that make guests feel right at home.

Overall the décor here is very elegant, and if you don’t look for it – it’s easy to forget your at Disney World at all. In-fact, this Disney planning desk is probably the most Disney thing here. Although there is a Disney pin-trading board located inside the coffee shop – Grounds.

Speaking of Grounds – the onsite coffee shop/convenience store – there’s a lot of great things here! For starters, Swan, Dolphin, & Swan Reserve all sell fresh juices! At Swan Reserve these are available at Grounds, and come in 3 awesome flavors! They are all natural, and a perfect way to add a bit of healthy into your Disney World diet!
Apart from the ease of walking to the nearby parks, Swan Reserve also operates its own bus service to Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom. However these may not always come as often as the Disney World buses. Luckily you can also walk across the way to Disney’s BoardWalk and take a Disney bus from/to there!
There is also a comfortable water taxi that offers access from the Disney resorts’ dock, running approximately every 20 – 25 minutes, to Epcot & Hollywood Studios.
For those who prefer a run, this is probably the best location on Disney World property for that, with numerous running paths here you can mix & match for all kinds of run lengths. Below is a map outlining the running paths from Swan/Dolphin, but it’s the same thing from Swan Reserve also, just cross the street. One of my favorite activities here is to take a run down the BoardWalk, over to Epcot, then double back and chase the boats heading to Hollywood Studios.

Parking is paid at Swan Reserve, however this does give you free standard parking at Disney World. Also important to note is if you rent/drive an EV there are ChargePoint stations setup inside the Swan Reserve parking lot. Almost all of these are now 6.6kw, with 1 remaining at 3.3kw. Leaving your car on the chargers after charging is completed will only run $0.15/hour.
Also the staff sets up a delicious citrus water by the main entrance around 9:30am. You can’t refill your bottles with it, but you can grab a glass. It’s a delicious way to get the day going, and to refresh later on from the Florida heat. There is a water bottle refill station available on the first floor, through the main doors that lead to the meeting rooms, and directly on your right.
Speaking of delicious things, the in-house restaurant, Amare, offers a delicious Mediterranean menu with some of the best grilled octopus. This same octopus is also available via the in-room dining menu/room service!
Out by the pool you will find Tangerine, which offers a delicious menu of flatbreads, sandwiches and burgers.
The pool itself is very nice also, offering a very different experience from the pools at the neighboring Swan & Dolphin resorts. It feels much more private, mostly due to the greenery separating Tangerine from the pool, and the fact that it’s technically located on the 3rd floor so nobody just randomly walks by.
Lastly, I will touch base on the $40/night resort fee. This doesn’t include parking, but it does include access to the relaxation areas at Mandara Spa (for Marriott Bonvoy members who have Silver or higher status). You also get $30 off spa services at Mandara Spa of $200 or more during each night of your stay. There’s also included access to the Swan Paddleboats, and access to instructor-led Fitness classes in the gym.
Now, let’s look at these rooms.
The Corner Signature Suite – Epcot View
This room really should be called Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom view – since you can easily see Everest at AK, the MK castle & fireworks, and Spaceship Earth at Epcot from the windows of this room. Animal Kingdom and MK are best seen from the bedroom windows, while Epcot is a clear view from both the bedroom and the living room. You WILL see Spaceship Earth in all its glory ride from your bed.
We didn’t grab any firework photos because we were in the parks for all of the shows, but did my best to try to showcase the views in the photos here. If you are wondering what the blending-blue colored box is to the right of Spaceship Earth – that’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. An amazing ride on the inside, a less than amazing view on the outside
The actual room has A-LOT of space. You have closet space, drawer space, and under-bed storage space. Plus the two sinks that Swan properties have become known for. And then charging ports galore. We’re talking USB ports on each side of the bed, plus in the tabletop lamps, the console table, the dining room table, and in several outlets. If you need to simultaneously charge a laptop, iPad, 2 Apple Watches, 8 magic bands, 2 light-up Disney ears, 2 sets of AirPods, and 3 iPhones – you can do so and still have ports left over.
Speaking of technology overkill. 3 TV’s. You get 3 TV’s which can all display something different. The TV in the dining room can also double as a presentation device, with ports to connect to it available in the dining room table.
And lastly you get dual-zone climate control, with the bedroom and living room each having their own sets of controls.

Junior Suite
The Junior Suite rooms at Swan Reserve cuts away the living/dining room from the Signature Suite shown above. Instead replacing it with an alcove that features 2 closets, a full-size mirror, and a small sitting area.
You also give-up a lot of ports, as only one side of the bed has USB ports. The other side relies on the 2 ports available in the clock radio. If you brought your own extension, there is an outlet behind the mattress on the side with the clock that you can access. Luckily you get some extra ports in the dresser (which doesn’t act as a dresser), and on the wall by the TV.
While you get 2 fairly large closets, you don’t get any drawer space here. The dresser is used for the safe and the fridge, and while it has 2 document shelfs, those won’t help you much for clothing storage if you like to unpack during your stay. You do still get the storage cutout for your bags underneath the bed.
